Final Examination

Dear Students

Your final examination is scheduled on:

February 15, 2012 at 8:00 to 10:00 am in S-329.

Instructions: You are not allowed to keep your cell phone with you during examination in any case.

Syllabus

Bacterial growth: environmental and nutrition factors affecting growth, media; physical and chemical control of microorganisms, applied microbiology: water, food, industrial and medical; Viruses: structure, types, culture and important diseases.

Pattern, Marks Distribution and Weight-age of Final Examination:
Marks: 50
Weight-age: 25 %
MCQs: 20 Marks
Diagrams / Short Questions: 20 Marks
Long Questions: 10 Marks (2 questions of 5 marks each)

Mid term Exam: Fall 2011

Your Mid-Term Examination will be conducted on Thursday December 15, 2011 during Lab timings.

Timings & Place: 11:00 am in S-321

Total Marks: 50, Weight-age: 25%, Time allowed: 1.5 hours

Pattern:
MCQs 20 Marks

Short questions and Diagrams 10+10 Marks

Long questions 5+5 Marks

Course Topics: Introductory topics, History of microbiology, classification of microorganisms, ultrastructure of a bacterial cell, environmental microbiology, physical and chemical control of microorganisms.

Please be on time, no extra time will be given if you are late.
